Genre:
My novel is in the realistic fiction genre. Although this novel isn't true, all of the events in the story could have happened, and therefore the novel is realistic fiction.
Theme:
This story is based upon the racial injustices that occured in the 1930s. It's theme would be "Don't be prejudice towards others" or "Anti-prejudice" or "Prejudice and acceptance." The story is all about how unfairly blacks were treated by whites in the 1930s, and the theme is to not treat other that way, or to not be prejudice towards anyone.
